For our next release we are delighted to welcome Boston Based artist @r4ns0m to the label for his debut Solo Ep on Four Corners Music.
The northeast United States has had a rich drum & bass pedigree since the genre first arrived on American shores. Among the richest of these local scenes has been Washington DC, from which the artist known as R4NS0M emerged.
R4NS0M has been deeply submerged in the jungle drum & bass scene since he first heard Goldie’s Timeless in the summer of 1995.
In 1997 he was ready to take the plunge as a DJ and quickly gained residencies across the USA both in the nightclubs and on the airwaves. R4NS0M cemented himself as one of the northeast’s finest DJ’s and soon began his early forays into production with collaborative releases on seminal labels such as Moving Shadow with Corrupt Souls and Ohm Resistance with Sinthetix & UFO!
In the 2010’s R4NS0M decided to develop and refine his production skills to work on his solo output.
During this time he also got married, had two children, and relocated to Boston, Massachusetts.
Despite taking some time out to focus on his family R4NS0M’s love for the music remained stronger than ever and July 2021 saw him send his first demo to Four Corners and the ep has been in the works ever since.
2 Years in the making with Four Corners and almost 30 years in the making for R4NS0M. His road has been long and winding and he is finally ready to present his debut solo ep.
R4NS0M has taken his time, honed his craft & carefully curated his debut ep into something he feels is a true representation of the sound he loves and something we are very proud to present at Four Corners.
